The Affair
I didn’t post this poem for a while as the feelings were still too raw. Now I feel I can post it, so I will. The Affair Betrayal, a heart broken might never mend; he did it again. No thought for the lives involved. Those disappearances have now been solved. View Post shared via WordPress.com

Man With ‘World’s Biggest Penis’ Stopped At SFO...
A New York man known for his unusually large penis was patted down by airport security at San Francisco International last week after they questioned him about the bulge in his pants, he said. Jonah Falcon, 41, who has been featured in several documentaries about the world’s biggest penises, was returning from a trip in San Francisco on July 9 when he was stopped at security by TSA agents who...

Olympic Sponsorship Protest
In protest of the strict branding regulations for the upcoming London Olympics, 25 street artists known collectively as Brandalism have reclaimed more than 30 existing billboards around the U.K., postering over the existing content with their own ad busts: Installed over five days in one continuous road trip that has covered the length of the country, the Brandalism crew have hit 33 spots in 5...

Interruption of the Day
Concert organizers at London’s Hyde Park didn’t take too kindly to Bruce Springsteen’s epic curfew-breaking set Saturday night. The E Street Band kept rocking past the 10 pm cut-off, eventually inviting Paul McCartney on stage, much to the delight of 80,000 in attendance. But at 10:30, in the middle of “Twist And Shout”, the mics were silenced. The abrupt ending didn’t sit too well with...

Olympic Sponsorship Stupidity!
This is “just a taster of the mountain of weirdness we’re dealing with pre-Olympics. 16 days to go…” reports The Times Opinion.

The Glamour Train
This suburban train that runs from Paris to Versailles looks ordinary from the outside, but its interior turns it to a really classy place. SNCF, French national railway company, has decorated the trains’ carriages with the splendid images of Versailles Palace and its beautiful gardens.

Gas Stealer Arrested after Posting a Facebook...
A man in Kentucky has siphoned off gas from a police cruiser and could have probably gotten away with it, if only he hadn’t posted the picture of the crime on his Facebook page. Local police arrested Michael Baker, 20, for theft by unlawful taking when the photograph started to circulate the town and was eventually obtained by one of the officers. It was Baker’s girlfriend who took the picture....

Gay Support
When 24-year-old Odd Future member Frank Ocean admitted on Tumblr last week to falling in love with a man, it was quite the shock to the hip-hop world, notorious for its tendency to disparage gays. Nonetheless, Ocean’s bandmate Tyler, the Creator tweeted a classy congrats, and Def Jam’s Russell Simmons said Ocean “changed the game” for hip hop in a positive way. Now, industry royalty Beyoncé...

Jupiter
A new-ish poem. I wrote it last month. Jupiter Unhinged and ready to fall from the planet into the nothingness of space. The swirling colourful mess of Jupiter, reminds me of myself. My life; the Great Red Spot, ever as persistant and just as stormy. I… View Post shared via WordPress.com

WatchWatch
The band Count was shooting a music video in L.A. recently when an old man named Daryl became quite taken with lead singer Gabbi McPhee — he proposed on the spot. Gabbi declined his offer, but to soften the blow of rejection, she and her bandmates performed for him an acoustic cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Want To Dance With Somebody.” Daryl was moved to tears. You will be, too. [vvv]
